FDA Student Dress Code

Students are expected to come to school each day wearing the full FDA1 Dress for Success Uniform.

At the Frederick Douglass Academy we insist that all students take pride in their physical appearance. Our Mandatory Dress Code Policy is enforced daily. Students are expected to come to school each day wearing the full FDA1 Dress for Success Uniform, which consists of the garments listed below and FDA Physical Education attire.

Middle School Dress Code

A Cardinal/Gold Long Sleeve Polo shirt with the school seal displayed on it, khaki pants, black belt, and all black shoes. Female students can wear khaki skirts worn with white or maroon tights only (No thigh-highs). There are also maroon colored cardigan sweaters and sweater vests.

High School Dress Code

White button up shirt with the school seal displayed on it, maroon time, khaki pants, black belt, and all black shoes. There is a female version of the tie available, and khaki skirts are an alternative for female students and must be worn with white or maroon tights only (No thigh-highs). There are also maroon colored cardigan sweaters and sweater vests.
